After more than five years of neglect, Northern Art Glass was able to access Trinity Anglican Church in Brockville to remove a treasure trove of stained glass windows ahead of the bulldozers. Home to roosting pigeons and bats, the derelict church owned by a developer, required an environmental clean-up just to enter the building. Our removal team still required full hazmat gear for safe working conditions even in 30+ degree weather. Scaffolding was needed to access 16 foot high stained glass windows. St. Mary comforted by Mary, wife of Clopas, two of the painted figures in progress as part of a large Crucifixion theme window designed and now in fabrication at Northern Art Glass. St. John and Mary Magdelene will be positioned on the other side of the cross. One of our favorite long distance clients, a confessed big fan of our artistry and workmanship and, who has ordered other themed projects in the past, commissioned this Last Supper design as a gift for his wife and daughter. You will note Judas leaving the party early, out the door with his big bag of silver. The crate we fabricated was another work of art to safeguard this window, 20″ x 36″ in size, on it’s journey out west. It has now safely arrived and awaiting framing for installation in his home....

Rose Window for St. Joseph’s

The Bishop was on hand for the grand opening to bless the new rose window at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Blvd, Orleans. The church was full to capacity for the unveiling by our glass painter, Vasile Mousanu, who painted the entire window. A proud moment for him. The window is a narrative of the French Catholics sailing to the new world in the 1700’s. Notre Dame, Paris is featured top right and a ship rolling on turbulent seas on the left.
