This leaded panel was inspired by the illustrations of Alphonse Mucha, a Czech Art Nouveau painter and decorative artist, known best for his distinct style.   Mucha was famous for his commercial posters but he also worked in a variety of other media, including furniture, jewelry, and theatrical sets. He mostly worked in Vienna and Paris, but was also in Chicago, where he taught at the Art Institute, from 1904 to 1910. The densely patterned posters epitomize the Art Nouveau interest in natural forms, decoration, and a rejection of the anonymity of mechanical production. This magnificent piece was designed and assembled by our craftsmen to the client's specifications - Praying hands, bread and fish in a basket, a dove above, and the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Women's League adorning the cross in the middle.

The custom stained glass window was installed at St. Philip Parish in Richmond, ON. St. Philip’s is the oldest English-speaking parish in the Archdiocese of Ottawa and since 1818, it has been the religious, social and cultural centre for the Catholic Community in the area.

Louis Comfort Tiffany left a legacy of stunning, nature inspired glass lamps shades. There is a renewed interest in the art of lamp building. Patterns and shaped forms in a multitude of sizes and shapes are available for the stained glass enthusiast to emulate. A Tiffany designed ‘Dragonfly’ lamp is underway at Northern Art Glass. Donna Edmondson has selected a yellow/red/green Uroborus glass as the primary background. The dragonflies themselves are a translucent amber with wings of green and yellow granite streaky. St. Isidore Catholic Church continued.

A new stained glass window, a 9.5 ft. dia. “Resurrection” theme, is now installed high above the altar at St. Isidore Catholic church. This project took Northern Art Glass four months from design to installation with the knowledge that this would be an important feature of the new church building. Many of you who visited the studio have seen this work in progress. Projects in the studio are a collaborative effort, however, Vasile Mosanu deserves all the credit here.
